Private Tutoring: Reading Skills Trial Lesson
In this lesson children will have access to a story book, where we will then practice pronunciation and comprehension skills.
Description
Each lesson I will provide a different story book. The child will be given the opportunity to read it. I will help them with pronunciation and explain, where they are not understanding a certain word or sentence. We will then discuss the story, and I will ask them a few questions to make sure that they have understood what they have read.

- To promote improved reading and learning skills in the child.
- To gain confidence when reading in English.
- To be able to read with understanding.
Outcome
- Their language and literacy skills should show an improvement.
- They should feel more comfortable when reading English texts and books.
Homework
- No homework is necessary for the reading lessons.

I am a Qualified Primary School Teacher, with over 10 years of experience. Children need the space to be themselves! They need a safe space, because its when they feel safe that they can effectively learn. I have always loved seeing children go from a place of not understanding something, to grasping it. This is so rewarding as a teacher as you know that you played a role in that! Children learn so much through play and that is why it is important to make lessons fun and engaging. Together we will view a wonderful curriculum and include repetition and games in order to set a concrete platform for learning to take place!
