We will discuss character development, plot, metaphors, similes, and write a scary story along the way. The lesson will be delivered through a fun interactive lecture using examples in contemporary literature.
In this class, you will master creating terrifying villains and sympathetic protagonists. (Remember! Your story is only as good as your characters.) Describing people, places, and things can make or break your story. I will give you some tips on how to take your descriptions to the next level. Building suspense for your readers will also be covered.
We will do several writing exercises to practice in class and learners will write their own story using the new methods learned in class.
